TRANSLATING WITH DEEPL
DeepL Translator bills itself as “the world’s most accurate translator.” It translates texts and full documents instantly. Compared with similar programs, it may very well be the world’s most accurate. According to Emma Garofalo, DeepL “blows Google Translate out of the water.”
Having seen the rather poor job that other translation tools do for school districts, law firms, and penny-pinching companies that fail to hire professional human translators, I tend to believe Garofalo when she says DeepL “can be up to six times more accurate than some of the most-used translation tools on the internet, including Google Translate.”
With DeepL and I it was love at first sight. But as with most of today’s relationships, I have to admit that this incredible tool perfect it is not. But it is extremely useful in ways that go beyond just translating a document. I will show you how I have used DeepL, for what purposes, and how I post edit its translations.
